Two children dressed in Halloween costumes stand in front of a bush decorated with fake spider webs. The boy on the left is dressed as a ghost, with white face paint and a white sheet costume, holding a yellow bucket. The girl on the right is dressed as a princess, wearing a blue princess dress with puffy white sleeves and a black choker, with a surprised expression.

About BANANAS

A creative space for kids to explore, experiment, and make

Mission

Bananas is a neighborhood art studio focused on giving kids a place to explore, experiment, and create. Through hands-on experiences, we support curiosity, independence, and a genuine connection to making.

Our Studio

We offer art classes, camps, and birthday parties designed to meet kids where they are. Our Mar Vista studio is open, welcoming, and set up for real exploration—materials are accessible, projects are thoughtful, and kids are encouraged to work at their own pace. It’s a space where they can try things out, follow their ideas, and enjoy the process of creating.

Our Team

Bananas is a family business started by Eric and Paula, alongside their 11-year-old twins, who live in the neighborhood. What began as a shared love of art and making has grown into a studio rooted in community.

Our instructors bring a calm, thoughtful approach to teaching. They guide when needed, step back when it matters, and create an environment where kids feel supported and capable.

Staff members are CPR, AED, and first aid certified, background checked, TB tested, and participate in ongoing training.

We hope you’ll come join us.
